Very cool. The math is way over my head so I appreciate you breaking it down. I will definitely be re-watching this and adding springy stuff into my projects. Thanks for the tutorial.

Looking at your video, Zack, it seems like when the ball hits the water, it deforms a (visually) random amount, sometimes severe where it displaces itself more than the ball has actually penetrated into it.
Visually random but more likely because the amount it displaces is due to how far away the ball hits from the connector points.
