devKathy Member Jun 7, 2021 #2 Cursory googling reveals this: https://jdk.java.net/ Appears that 16.0 is around the latest version. 17 is early access so, I guess it could be unstable or something. If you go there, click the link for JDK 16 and download the particular version for your OS under builds.

Directly from the page. It's under the GPLv2. I got here by following links for OpenJDK. Also read the top paragraph here: OpenJDK: Download and install openjdk.java.net
