UWP UWP game gets stuck while running

When I run my game in Windows, the game properly opens and plays smoothly. However, in Windows UWP, the game opens but the game freezes while playing. I am not sure what is causing the game to stop working when changing the platform from Windows to Windows UWP. I am using GMS2 and VS2017.

Have you tried running in debug mode then seeing what code is executing when the freeze occurs?

When I run in debug mode for Windows UWP, a black screen shows up (picture is attached).
