The google link in the address starts with HTTP - it only works if I change it to HTTPSA Google search, producing a link to a yoyo forum thread, produces an error when attempting to access it, when it worked fine a few days ago.

Try googling "gamemaker recent list clear" and the first entry should take you to this page > https://forum.yoyogames.com/index.php?threads/clean-recent-projects.42418/
Fixed. Unsure what caused it (custom title field on your profile was blank), but if anyone else is missing their title, shoot me or any other online staff member a PM.My title is gone!
under my profile picture and username it used to say "Senpai", it no longer does.
I was kidding, didn't know that could be changed. Where do I change it ?Fixed. Unsure what caused it (custom title field on your profile was blank), but if anyone else is missing their title, shoot me or any other online staff member a PM.
well... you're stuck with it nowI was kidding, didn't know that could be changed. Where do I change it ?
Will look into that, thanks for bringing it up.The reset password process doesn't seem to be working. I received the email, but when I click the "Reset password" button this is what opens in my browser...
Will get the sys admin to look into this...Every link coming from Google is broken. Is this intentional? Trying to hide the secrets of GameMaker?
Not sure what the status of the that is, so I'll investigate. It let me log in without asking for my 2FA code... I'm a little worried about that, but otherwise it's pretty sleek lookin'.
Yes, I'm aware of the issue, but it was low on my priorities yesterday. Will get something sorted out todayPrefixes (other than the "Offical" prefix) are difficult to spot as they appear in the same style/colour as the rest of the topic title and look like they are actually part of the title:
Agreed. Will see if I can sort that out too...On the New Posts page, the links to other sections like New Profile posts is hard to see.
This has now been resolved. The reset password process doesn't seem to be working. I received the email, but when I click the "Reset password" button this is what opens in my browser...
Okay, I think you need to re-enable the setting again. Should be in the "Password & Security" section of your profile page.It let me log in without asking for my 2FA code... I'm a little worried about that, but otherwise it's pretty sleek lookin'.
Yes, this has always been the case. I frequently browse the forum without logging in, and attachments required a login even before the update.I wasn't able to open any of images in this thread without logging in. This happens probably when they are added as attachments.
This is to be expected for the first day or so apparently. The sys admin has still to optimise stuff and has talked about load balancing and other esoteric sys admin magic.
Intentional... Once I have a few other things finished I'll make a topic to explain this and a few other things.Unsure if intentional, but "angry" reactions are downvotes. I remember that we specifically got rid of downvotes ages ago, so I'm unsure if their reintroduction was intentional.
Yeah, we know... should sort itself out over a short period of time.I also noticed, that server is veeeeeery slow now. Loading a page takes about 5-10 seconds for me, so for now it definietly doesn't sound like a "better server". Hope it's only because of wrong configuration and will be fixed in next few hours.
I remember reading about a study on karma systems that concluded the following: karma systems are useless. Getting likes on your post will not lead to improved post quality in the future, but getting dislikes on your post will lead to decrease in post quality in the future. In other words, they merely act as enablers for downward spirals.Intentional... Once I have a few other things finished I'll make a topic to explain this and a few other things.
I agree. Personally, the report button should be enough for any unsavory, spammy, or otherwise offensive posts.I remember reading about a study on karma systems that concluded the following: karma systems are useless. Yeah, Sys Admin knows and something will be done about it.http://forum.yoyogames.com isn't redirecting to https://forum.yoyogames.com, it just stays stuck there. This may cause issues with older links to the GMC or browsers that don't yet default to HTTPS (i.e. not the latest versions of Firefox or Chrome).
I'll take a look.Using desktop mode on mobile shows weird spacing issues:
This is now fixed, sort of... All skins should be consistent, but there is a "sweet(sour?) spot" width where the forum topic titles will only be a few letters to a line. Still, better than what it was though!!!!Using desktop mode on mobile shows weird spacing issues:
Still working on things!!! Will fix in a moment! Why has the light skin now got a dark background? I preferred the default light skin of the new forum. Now it makes my eyes hurt.
I'll be posting a topic about this in a day or two for discussion... we'll see what happens, but I do actually like having a "dislike" button of some kind....Oh, about the new "reaction" faces. They're cool, but @RujiK pointed out the other day that the angry face counts as a dislike, which feels counterintuitive, because I think 90% of the time that face is used is probably going to be people "laughing" at each other's ****posts or jokes or whatever. Not a huge deal, but it feels kind of rude to use it the way it is now, when I'd probably use it pretty often otherwise. Maybe an actual thumbs down or "-1" would be better if you actually wanted use to have "dislikes" again? Or just make it neutral or a +1 if that's possible? Or just keep it the way it is, and we can all have fun nuking each other's pointless rep scores, hahah. =D
Isn't there an actual thumbs down that other sites use? We can keep the angry face, but use that instead for actual ranking, if necessary.I agree with @RichHopefulComposer I'd like to use the ironically, but it feels bad to do it if it is minus points.
But we will discuss it later I suppose.
Nice. I'd like the dislike button to come back, too. I see members get rewarded for overly aggressive, quippy posts sometimes. I think it's because the only option for stemming that behavior right now is to actually post back at those people, getting into fights with them and derailing the threads they post in. Being able to say "hey, knock that off" without getting into a drawn out argument with someone over their tone is a good thing, I think.I'll be posting a topic about this in a day or two for discussion... we'll see what happens, but I do actually like having a "dislike" button of some kind....
I have the same problem when accessing the forum directly from the Help menu in Studio. I just get sent to a blank page rather than being redirected. It seems I used to use the address : forums.yoyogames.com : This is not accessible anymore, I had to, of all things, re-type the forum address without the "s" in forums : forum.yoyogames.com
That's because Cheap VaporWave is perfect as is.I will NOT be fixing anything with the "Cheap VaporWave" skin
I'll get this sorted out...I have the same problem when accessing the forum directly from the Help menu in Studio. I just get sent to a blank page rather than being redirected.
Yes, and they have all been updated.Could the prefixes show in a different colour?

This has now been sorted.I'll get this sorted out...
So we have... will get them removed as Mike is sadly no longer with the company, and they really had nothing to do with GameMaker...We lost the lemmings! https://forum.yoyogames.com/index.php?help/smilies/
