is it possible to create a tile scrolling game in Game Maker?
Imagine a 2d world made of tiles and you can navigate it by pressing arrow keys which scroll the screen. I'm using a text file for the world's data, and everytime i scroll the screen, the tiles move, and change their image according to the file.
When a tile is completely out of the game window, I reuse the instance and move it to the opposite side of the window so I always use the same set of instances, instead of continuously creating and destroying them.
For now i have no idea where to start and I would like some help.
