 The start page is extremely laggy + feedback

Title says all. The start page is VERY laggy (5 fps) on my PC (2x 2.13GHz, GT 520M, 4GB).
Normal workspace works just fine running constantly on 60 fps.

And one other thing. I really hate the scrolling. The normal scrolling seems useless to me (to scroll vertically or horizontally) I would rather just have the scroll do what it did in GM: S (Ctrl + Scroll right now) and make it not so fast (it makes things bigger / smaller very fast and I don't like it)

EDIT: Got one more thing. Would be nice to be able to close windows through the Ctrl + TAB menu!
