The show_message() does not seems to be working...

Hi, I am new to GMS2 and I face a issue. I try to use

show_message("Hello World!");

but it doesn't show in output window or appear in a pop-up window. My system is Windows 10 and the version of GMS2 I am using is 2.3.1.536. This is the screenshot of the editor.

Drag and drop the object into the room that you created.
You need to have the "Instances" layer selected, inside de the room editor.

Yup! The room can't execute code from an object when the object isn't placed or created within said room.
