Legacy GM Text in gibberish after Win10 Creators update?

Hello,

I've been 2 weeks off of GMS-1.4 because of exams, and lately I've installed the latest Win10 update (creators).

Since the beginning of those 2 weeks, nothing changed much in my computer - no new softwares, etc'.

I tried to get into GMS:1.4 and got the following message:

clicking Yes/No didn't change the fact that GMS is now in total gibberish:

Yes, you are looking at the preferences window.
I may add:
* I've got all important DLCs offered in humble bundle just prior to the release of GMS 2 few months ago
* I do have 2 languages in my system, though I checked again and it does seem that English is the prioritized default one. Generally, my system is in English.

Tried to look for an answer, unsuccessfully .

Thanks for all helpers!

I've been getting the same error in my startup window after doing a clean install of windows 10, but don't get the glitched out text. Unsure if the two are related in any way.

Yep I also get the script error after the Creators Update, but clicking either Yes or No allows me to carry on as normal.

I'll try to back up my project and reinstall GMS. Will update soon. Anyway to get official GMS team support somehow?

Edit: just opened my GMS and everything is... fine? maybe a computer restart was needed?

I'm getting this script error too and have filed a bug for it. The text issue didn't happen though... good that a restart resolves it!

Welp, that's the only step I unintentionally made. Apart of that I didn't touch GMS, so I really can't tell for sure if it actually resolved it. Though I'll keep my mouth shut.

Same Script Error message after win10 Creators update. Doesn't seem to be effecting anything negatively though
