Legacy GM Surface Resolution (?) !!

Hello there…

I have a small problem. I wanted the shadows not to overlapping each others, so I drew them all in a surface in full opacity and then I lowered the surface opacity by 50%. Everything should work fine. And actually it worked considering the overlapping, but this happened:

Before: (No surfaces, simple draw event for the sword shadow)

After: (With surfaces, to prevent overlapping)

How can I fix this? I want the sword shadow to be drawn in the same resolution as the actual sword, not on an 1x1 pixel grid.
