Graphics Sprite-Sheets

this is just a question that I have. I've been trying to get into animating sprites, and seems the only way to do so is to upload a sprite sheet; is there a way for me to create one of those, because I don't have much experience with that process.

Various tools exist, both commercial and free, to create sprite sheets.

The "industry standard" is TexturePacker. A somewhat free version is available.
Shoebox is free, and quite good.

Many sprite and design apps have built-in tools or extensions/scripts to output animations as spritesheets. For example, Krita and this script: https://github.com/Falano/kritaSpritesheetManager

ProMotion NG (sort-of the 'Photoshop' of pixelart apps) supports these out of the box: animate, and export a spritesheet of your animation.

Which tools do you use to animate your sprites?
