Came across an issue.

Spine animation software is supported. However, Gamemaker does not seem to support spine animations that use multiple image files.

If an animation has many images and they dont all fit on a single file spine creates multiple "sprite sheets"

I believe they are updating Spine support in what will be among the last of the significant updates for the 1.x.x series.

Hopefully this will solve your problem. Spine is currently broken in the latest version and can cause graphical problems. I am using 1.4.1757 because of this.

The new Spine update is already out in the latest EA 1.99.525.

how do I use a early release build?
Just realised this is in the GMS2 forum, I replied from the New Threads list - my apologies.

The EA is for version 1.4 which won't help you, your Spine issue must be a GMS2 problem.

You could try 1.4 EA as a test and see if the problem persists, as far as I know the Spine support in GMS1 and GMS2 is on par with each other.

If you want to test it use the links I posted above to get the latest EA of 1.4.

This is not actually a bug, we only support importing spines which use one Atlas file. When you export your animation from Spine you can change the size of your Atlas file to be any size, the default is 1024 x 1024 which might not be big enough for your animation, increase this to whatever size you need and then try reimporting your image again.
