Sounds working even though I didn't add them

I had a project that suddenly stopped opening. To get back to working on it, I created all the objects, sprites and sounds with the same names and filled it in with the data from the old project.

Only I didn't have to do that with sounds. When creating sounds with the same old project names, the sounds played normally.

Would anyone know why?
