[SOLVED] Timing of step and collision events

Do all of the step events happen before the collision events? In the manual at
https://docs.yoyogames.com/source/dadiospice/000_using gamemaker/events/index.html
The overall event order is shown as:
create
destroy
alarm
step
collision
keyboard
mouse
other events
draw
asynchonous events

and the step events are shown as:
  • Begin Step Event
  • Step Event - The step event is executed just before instances are put in their new positions.
  • End Step Event
So does that mean all step event happen before collision, or just the middle one, or maybe it's impossible to know for sure.....?
