[SOLVED] Objects or Tilesets for optimisation?

If I was to be building a level, would it be better for optimisation to use objects for the blocks with no code, or to use background tilesets for the blocks and then place a single solid object over them?

I'd figure the less objects in a room the better, but I'm not sure whether placing down individual objects for floor or individual tiles for floor would be better.

The less objects is better, but have you considered stretching the objects?
Thanks for the answer, that's what I expected. I can't stretch the objects since they're used as the graphical tiles for the room. I used to place down floor patterns one by one with objects using sprites, and then cover them with bigger solid instances. I'll be swapping over to tiles now. Thanks!
