Hello all,
I'm attempting to make a virtual reality game for Android (similar to VrChat) in Gamemaker Studio 2 but I've come across quite the issue with getting the camera's yaw pitch and roll to adjust accordingly to the phone's gyroscope. I tried using the device tilt functions but the device_tilt_y only works when the phone is laying on a flat surface. Assuming this isn't a bug and is intentional design I will need somebody to make an extension written in java for Android to get the correct gyroscopic functions nesscary to move the game camera in accordance to the devices x,y,z axis in a virtual reality headset I.E Google cardboard.
I'm willing to pay up to $200AUD for this job if completed successfully.
This should help get you started in the right direction: https://developer.android.com/reference/android/hardware/Sensor.html#TYPE_ROTATION_VECTOR
EDIT: This request has been filled.
