Should I be using Visual Studio 2015 or 2017? (with GMS2)

I've been reading this and there is a line where it says "Currently, both Visual Studio 2015 and Visual Studio 2017 are supported so you can use either, but we currently recommend using VS2015".

I'm curious whether this is because of issues or something else?

Is this information in the link out of date? Should I be installing VS 2015?

Afaik, 2019 will actually work fine,as long as you install the 2017 tools from the components menu. I recently had to reinstall everything on my laptop and decided to just go ahead and use 2019... and everything compiles just fine (much to my surprise)!
