Dear GameMaker developers,

I'm an indie developer who has just released his first game: SAM Commander Arena.

The game is a unique action-simulator of a SAM (surface-to-air missile) launcher featuring an intuitive and simple control interface. In multiple scenarios, you will be defending cities from constant aerial attacks, fending off waves of enemy fighters and cruise missiles as well as strategically locating and shooting down enemy bombers hiding in the chaos of general air traffic.

The development took almost three years because I first had to learn how to make a game. Since I'm a full-time employee, I've done everything on weekends, holidays and while commuting to work. I don't think I would have been able to finish it without my passion for game development. SAM Commander Arena is a 2D game simulating a 3D world using trigonometry. The point of view of the radar is nothing but a function which checks whether objects are inside your field of vision (radar cone). If this condition is met, targets are drawn on your display using basic trigonometric functions.

You can download the game for free on Google Play, App Store and Itch.io:

iOS: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/sam-commander-arena/id1219718515
PC: https://caronstudios.itch.io/sam-commander-arena

The current version is an introduction to a larger release which will feature a single-player story mode inspired by Chris Roberts' classics such as Strike Commander or Wing Commander. Feel free to ask any questions regarding development. I'd be very thankful for your feedback. Have fun with the game!

I'm too tired to give good feedback, but it looks promising so I help keeping the topic alive by posting here :)
