EDIT 6: edited available positions ________________________________________________________________________ Pixel Artist(S): General Art and/or Designer Some positions have opened up and we are in need of your art and design expertise. This will cover environment, effects and characters. This will include some degree of combat and level design, but mostly from an artistic perspective (not that other inputs aren't welcome or desired). I am also very engaged with my artists and am quick to respond to any needed direction or requests. If you aren't interested in taking a lead/design position, we are still interested in your talents so do still contact me for more details. Currently we have One active artists, and a decent amount of early game art assets complete (some examples of which can be seen in the paired forum post linked at the top, though there are more.), but as a lead designer your vision will be given much more room to work with and changes can be negotiated. We do have a fairly concise design doc prepared, with many details about the art design included, but there is still much room for your creative input if you desire. Combat/enemy/gameplay elements will be very important in this role and i'm sure also very fulfilling. With the systems that have been set up (almost all fully functioning, but needing population) you can more or less design any kind of attack, enemy, item, spell, weapon, combo, status effect (and more!) and have it seamlessly integrated into our systems. We do have a design ready and a very sizeable amount of ideas formulated, but there is still room for creativity. As with our other positions, all of our current members are involved based on revenue share and potential crowdfunding payments. However i am very open to the idea of paid work, but (for the time being) though a combination of the above is desired. Whatever option you are interested in, PM me and we can negotiate on what works best. ________________________________________________________________________ Programer/Designer(s) Position Filled Spoiler: Info Programming work going forwards will involve largely more content development rather than systems (though there will still certainly be some). This includes development of new ai, items, abilities, combat elements, new gear/upgrades, effect, crafting and more that i can go into detail on request. Primarily expertise in AI and/or GFX are desired, but specialization isnt mandatory. Ideally this will include elements of gameplay and level design, but there is roowhi We have two very dedicated programmers working to build the game and are looking for a third. The code is relatively well kept and commented on, with any needed help available on request. As with our other positions, all of our current members are involved based on revenue share and potential crowdfunding payments. However since the Graphical effects needs are somewhat finite, a commission based contribution is possible. Whatever option you are interested in, PM me and we can negotiate on what works best. That being said, long term investment is desired so commission based contributions are less desired here. Level Designer Position Filled Spoiler: Info So far all of the level design and gameplay has been under my control with inputs and suggestions by other members of the team. That being said the scope of the game is quite large and im hoping to have a very large gameworld and my attention is needed in multiple areas at once so some extra help is more that welcome. There will be a lot of cooperation with myself and i am very open to your own creative input, however there are some elements that i would consider core to the game play and somewhat immovable. I also am not planning to simply let/make you create my entire game for me, i do have many of the ideas formulated and many (not all) of the systems in place and do not plan to stop contributing to all facets of the game (aside from art... i suck at art, but i will be directing in any needed respects). Do also recognize that positions like this are somewhat rare in the GM sphere so i almost definitely wont be doing this based on commission, with long term commitment rewarded by revenue shares + potential payments based on successful crowdfunding, if you want any more details on this feel free to ask. We also have an over world map designed for the beginning part of the game, with many details. However large portions are missing, as well as many of the rooms and their own unique layouts. Pixel Artist: HUD/GUI Specialist Position Filled Spoiler: Info We are also in the market for an artist that can set us up with some HUD and GUI pieces. We currently have other artists on the team right now, so potentially some collaboration will be needed. That being said they are currently focusing their talents in other needed areas. This can merge other artist roles if desired of course. Our current desires needs are for a generalized format covering the pause menu, inventory, abilities (similar in layout to abilities), status menu and settings, as well as potentially additional icons for hp, individual items etc. Further details are available on request.We would like so see a portfolio with indication of prior pixel-art works. HUD/icon examples are desired but not mandatory. Currently we have 3 Pixel artists involved, but their specialties are in environment/character design. Currently there are minimal HUD or GUI elements (a code based HP/MP bar is all at this point). Audio Specialist (Position Filled) Spoiler: Info We have need of an audio specialist that can both formulate music tracks as well as aid with general effects and ambience clips. If you are only specialized in music composure and do not seek to do any effects work, then we are still in need of you, the effects are secondary. The style of music we are aiming for is not entirely decided as of yet. The general theme of the game is a combination of dark and heavily action focused, so potentially orchestral is desired, but this is subject to change. Ideally, the final decision would be based on joint cooperation between myself, the team, and the composer. As with our other positions, all of our current members are involved based on revenue share and potential crowdfunding payments. However since the Audio needs are somewhat finite (at least on the music track front), a commission based contribution is possible.
