Okay so, whenever I say the 90's were the golden years, people just claim its some kind of nostalgia. It's not nostalgia, I have proof this time.

Okay so, never in my life have I played Super Mario Kart until the late 2010's. So I don't have nostalgia of playing it. In the late 2010's I heard the Super Mario Kart soundtrack for this first time. And I thought it was otherworldy and amazing. Can't be nostalgia since it was after 2010 when I first heard the soundtrack.

Let's talk about Splatoon. Splatoon saved my soul, every morning I'd wake up depressed. Anti-depressants would only make it worse. But this morning I said no, I am not going to go on facebook, I am not going to be bullied by social media, I am doing escapism, I am not going to be Of this world I am going to be happy for once, finally one day of my life I will be happy. So I loaded up Splatoon. I never had played Splatoon before but I always wanted to. And let me tell you, it saved my soul.

The soundtracks were otherworldy, weird like Metroid Prime. Nintendo is quality, not quality. Xbox is quantity, not quality. Real gamers play Nintendo. Nintendo hires the best artists possible, all of their work is of utmost quality.Xbox is American. But even some American games can be good. For example, Cruisin USA is America done right. Yes the physics were horrible. But the music was American and goodly.

And let me explain some stuff. It is not nostalgia because, the electric Guitar of Cruisin USA is more special than newer guitars. If you listen closely, the guitar is soft like a square wave. It is soothing to the ears. Newer guitars are too HD and too grating on the ears.

It is not that it is nostalgia. But that it is objectively better for real reasons. For example, I played Forza Horizons, it felt like it was sucking out my soul. Everything about it felt ungodly. (Roger Moore, of the Saint, calls certain things "ungodly", you have to be a cultured person to understand.) It just felt zombified, like it was about billionaires experiencing an existential void, a Xanadu mansion kind of game.

And that brings me back to Splatoon. It is just, better than Sunset Overdrive. Sunset Overdrive is Americanized, uncultured bile. Why is Splatoon better? Because every element of the game is high quality. It doesn't even matter how insignificant. The more high quality components you will add, the more high quality you will feel. It has to all work like clockwork, like a machine. You can't have great graphics, but bad gameplay and bad music. And Nintendo does the job, time and time again, bringing innovations to the table and beating the sloppy, uncultured people at making games. Splatoon brings high quality, innovative music to the table. The graphics of Splatoon are HD and next-gen, without being annoying and plastic looking like many so called HD games. The graphics of Sunset Overdrive hurts my eyes. And the shooting mechanics of it are dated, and hard to shoot. Splatoon just feels inherently fun to play.

A game, should feel inherently fun to play. It is meant to be a vacation from reality. If it is less enjoyable than reality, then what is the point of the game? Each component of the game should be inherently good. Just walking around, jumping up and down, feels good to me. In Sunset Overdrive, it feels clunky, and the shooting is hard to see enemies. And just the environment of Splatoon makes me feel alive. Sunset Overdrive is the opposite, it feels like decay, like it makes me feel more depressed than before. And they put so much more fun surprises in Splatoon, like unique bosses. In Sunset Overdrive, all the enemies are Americanized, generic, like just generic movers with different models.

And lets look how America has been on a steady downhill since the 90's. Here is NIcktoons of the 90's, compared to today:

And look at Spongebob and the Simpsons (the same argument applies to Spongebob):

    Icons of the 90s:

    Icons of today:

And Xbox culture is super macho, like everything is some HD pic of some manly man in a space armor.

And its so macho it feels lame and sterile. Nintendo feels like a different type of testosterone, like it is game juice. Xbox culture feels like balding, DHT testosterone with a side of game juice. Nintendo feels like primarily, game juice. And lets look at people, specifically. When you look at Reggie Reg, you see a fun guy. The guy that you feel in your heart, yes lets get excited about games. Same with Shigeru.

And XBOX you just see, corporate, cubicle types. The type you don't normally associate with the word "Fun". The types that are politically correct and follow social trends and rules.
(This is the hipster capitalist type, the kind of man who dominates America.)

Ironically, Nintendo is the company that started out trying to make Love Hotels (escort pickup centers) they have always been about having a good time, letting loose of the rules. And yes, that is also why Rockstar is a great company. I wasn't a big fan of GT5, but lets be honest, I would play GT5 over that crappy ripoff game on Xbox One (I couldn't find the name, because Google is getting increasingly sucky and won't find anything for me.)

Splatoon feels like, Nintendo is a hot blooded teen who is not afraid to innovate. A true testament to the Gamecube years, where Nintendo dared to make things fresh. Nowadays, everything just feels stale and dead, corporate, stagnated, obedient, Orwellian/Draconian. It is Orwellian/Draconian because games are no longer about Art, but about only money. Thinktanks of no talent dictate to us and brainwash us into playing games we never wanted or asked for. For example, crapware/shovelware like Roblox, Mincraft, Terraria, etc. Games that offer open worlds, endless customization, but no reason to want to build: Quantity instead of quality.

Games like Splatoon are true works of art. There is no training manual, no cheap online guide, that tells you how to make great games like Splatoon. You can only make those games through mind-altering drugs or deep soul-searching, looking up to the stars on a starry night.

Also the name of the GTA ripoff was, APB reloaded, I remember it now.

Still Nintendo is guilty of many sins. It's Wii U shop is spectacularly awful, also, they owe me 5 dollars and never paid, and here is a video showcasing the downward trend of modern graphics:

Nostalgia by short definition simply means wanting to return to a point in our past or specific time period. Therfore, it is Nostaligic to you! Especially when you do.

    PS the 90's were awesome!

The changes in games, music, culture and a whole lot more...we went from rock, grunge, G-rap, R+B it was all there. Games evolved from 2d to 3d real fast. Not that some us were lucky to have games like the first Wolfenstein, ROTT, and/or Doom!

We're just going through a dry spell. Things will get better! We just need cool people to get back to the roots of thier creativity. We need to break through the barriers holding us back. For one, optimism needs to make a comeback. Also, people need to get off their cell phones and social media bs. No one is ever going to do anything cool while busy taking selfies or whatever the heck you guys do on instafacerist or whatever you call it.

Yes exactly, he gets it, he gets it!

We as a species have been hijacked by a technological nightmare, the death of no death. The narcissistic, selfie generation of rudeness and no backbone. A systematic weakening of the species. Narcissism is a fuel, to cover up a lack of substance. Once the narcissists wake up, and realize getting 10 likes on Facebook actually accomplishes nothing, and that social media is a distraction for their hollow existence, it will be them Waking Up America.

Plus, the great cryptocurrency crash of 2018, it is a kind of Depression, excessive fascism from both the SJWs and the right, there are bad people on both sides, both sides. It's an Orwellian groupthink where mediocrity rises to the top and free thinkers are pushed to the bottom, surrounded by zombies. People need to go back into nature, eating organic foods, and healthy wholesome activities and real friendships instead of virtual everything. Everything is hyper stressed, modern living has become too complex for its own good. It's like I don't want Google AI's crappy AutoDraw, or any of that crap, or Paint 3d's confusing GUI that makes no sense, or a GUI that has 1000 lines of tabs that make no sense. I don't want the perpetual drift of Mario Kart 8. I want to go back to the olden days, of Super Mario Kart, Mario Kart 64, and Double Dash, back when the horizons were big and expectations were high. And by Horizons I don't want any stinkin' Forza horizons, with that sappy, brain-dead zombified music.

I think legalization of mariujana, will help cure this great social depression and alleviate this sterile, homogenized, creative drought of our culture.

Also, this is my post, 777. Jesus would have toked.

The 90s were the greatest ten years of human existence.

It feels like gaming is at least picking back up again. Last generation was incredibly bad after three straight golden generations. This generation is shaping up pretty well. Mostly because of Nintendo's heroic efforts, but companies like Square and Capcom have been climbing back onto the horse lately, too. Konami seems to have lost the script a little, but it feels like they'll bounce back, too. I trust Kojima will make something good, and I'm glad Mikami is back doing horror games.

Overall, I'm optimistic for games again!

Same deal as movies. They are trying to stick with safe formulas and established IP to try to make money. None on the big boys want to take a creative risk anymore.

The world needs more games to make people actually feel good about themselves, not in a cocky unethical sense but in a heroic accomplishing one. If you look at some of the games Nintendo had produced for the NES, they didn't have some "special meaning" or "deep-in-the-feels" objective. The objective was just to have fun and explore, ya know? And I love Nintendo's approach to game design, and what's funny is that Nintendo hasn't really changed much with their design since they first became a business. All of these other AAA companies are so dead-focused on trying to make a profit that they forget why games were put on this planet to begin with, and I think it's hilarious how they have the guns but miss the target when it's right in front of them, metaphorically speaking.

Do you know how tough it was for Larry to finally win......? And you call this "unethical"!? That was a monument! MonumentS! I'm surprised he made it this far; it's like MrBean winning vs the baywatch girls; you can only feel heoric and accomplished at that point! If you did survive the toiletpaper in episode1 of course...
Drugs are bad for you! It was the ultimate time in history! A princess in need to be saved from another giant Godzilla; you had to leave the job and jump through the dirty smelly pipes full of walking fungus to save a kingdom! Different univers; you had to rush through a decaying castle, shelter of unbelievable creatures, with only a whip, to put an end to one of the world's most deadly threat: a total sucker! And on another part of the great Nes land, after seeing the armor offered, you accepted to repeat the same quest to free people, but only to end naked on the land of the dead! Everywhere it was a fight of good vs evil. If this is not "special" or "deep-in-the-feels" enough, you had to wake up from a nightmare on elmstreet to save your soul. But then found yourself in a ring with boxing gloves to become a champion. Or in a king's quest. You wanted that movie ending to authenticate your success; that's how cheaters started the joke that they've done it. If you were crazy enough, you would pay an hundred dollars for a glove to enter codes to equip your adventure or you would get that special cartridge. Just to have fun and explore? It was a fight; you should have seen the controller flying in the room; it was a serious era!
On a more serious note; maybe they're not missing the target; who knows if some are not paid to actually lower our IQ by giving us only junk.

So if I'm understanding this correctly, your nostalgic feeling is playing Mario while eating a salad and smoking a blunt? You won't need a time machine. But it isn't a bit ironic to speak of real friendship and against virtual everything, then add drug is the cure? I don't recommend coding while being in the fog. Gah, sorry for that, don't worry, I understand what you wanted to say and I share most of your view.

Now this is a good discussion. I feel very similar about a lot of this. I for one miss the days when beating a game was something to brag about. Not that I was alive then, but stuff from the eighties and nineties was what I grew up on.

On that note, there are some solid games today, too. And several are on the Xbox. And personally I feel that Minecraft is a fantastic, polished, and powerful game. But I agree that, when it comes to ingenuity, few beat Nintendo.

And many have seen these things, too! There have been lots of lovely old style games lately, that capture the feel of the ninties, without the hardware limitations!
Believe me, they're getting their due tribute.

Two diclaimers. MGS3 is my all time favorite. And I'm pretty sure APB was a thing before GTA. But I don't know what reloaded is like. Third one actually. I read that Nintendo started out making hanafuda cards. Though I'm not saying it isn't possible that they made love hotels at some point! Fourth one. Drugs never made anyone smarter or more skilled. Sometimed Skilled people just do drugs.

The whole "hero saves girl" is done to death and doesn't get people excited.
But yes I think I see a trend here.
People seem to think that the "avant garde-ness" of their game will somehow make the game fun. So they focus on making a weird story and forget to actually make a game that's actually enjoyable. For instance, No Man's Sky.

There is so much wrong with this tired statement. 1 you are a citizen of the brainwashing, they brainwash you to say things like this. Stop and think about what you are saying... So drugs like antibiotics are bad? Sleeping medicine is bad? Cough medicine is bad? Those are all drugs.

Weed is a drug, a medicine...for the mind and body. People have been brainwashed to hate it due to Draconian propoganda.

Sure some drugs like bath salts, crack, or heroine, are bad. But weed is good. There is a war on weed just like there is a war on love. That's all they do. Declare a war on everything. Next there will be a war against low grades in schools.

Yes it does seem like a deep conspiracy. To suck out the souls of society to make them obedient worker drone zombies, by getting them to play bad, mediocre, shovelware titles. Shovelware titles like COD and Minecraft, which they deceptively market as not shovelware.

I didnt even need a blunt to enjoy classic retro gems. And yes the physics of Super Mario Kart are horrible. So if I used a blunt it would be to play classic games such as F-Zero GX or mario kart 64. Even with a blunt I think I would quit out of Super Mario Kart, laughing like Jon Tron did during Action Girlz Racing. Weed doesn't suddenly make bad games enjoyable, it just makes good games feel the way they were meant to be played.

Drugs are real, virtual reality is not real.
I did weed one time and it was like, my whole life was a fake life, weed deactivates your ego, it shows you the true you, instead of a brainwashed, socially conforming adult walking shell.
Weed allows you to be real, without all the social brainwashing on your ego.

Yes those were the glory days. Back when people were real. Kids went outside. Nickelodeon had vibrant colors. Before they sucked out the soul of everything and turned it gray.

Minecraft is a fantastic eyesore, and very powerfully so.
I don't know what games you are talking about.

Nope some people who were Daytona elite said they raced best while on weed. Also I know elite level smash players who can only succeed while on weed.
Also, not sure how big hanafuda was, they probably had to expand their company. Option 2, they just did it because they wanted to. Because their goal is to make people happy, bring joy into people's lives (Joy as in Nurse Joy. Pokemon, also owned by Nintendo.)

Girls, cats, worlds, univers, a cake, sounds all good to me! I'm trying hard to like final fantasy right now. It's like all games; play too much and nothing is interesting. GameMaker became "TheGame" at that point. When games aren't exciting, the best is to stop the time needed. Or to refresh our mind and grab that controller as if it was the first time. Our brain reacts to stimulus; it's better to appreciate the simple things in life than always being after certain feelings; rollercosters are a good exemple; you are thrown at an hundred miles per hour, up and down and upside down, you scream, laugh, and come back for more, it's pure fun; then, later, suddenly, the only things you can feel is vibrations, pressure, the wind; in short, an individual must live life for its balance and appreciation, not for excitement; it's in everything, from food to relationship; excitement will come naturaly with a potential capable of bringing sensations so deep that it can make you party for weeks without the need of drinking or taking anything else.
Well, I guess you've missed the joke; it was a way to say to cardinalcoder64 "what have you been smoking to believe games had no meaning back then" to better open the show with theatrical descriptions in a hope to make the person laugh. To be honnest, games truly had no meanings for me back then; it was a game, only a game; the funnier the better. Each game was a fascination for me; always something new and different; not a surprise, it was the beginning.
You're mixing everything when it wasn't in my words. Any type of substance has negative side effects on a person and communities. The reaction of an individual is often the same; from drinks to other products, addiction will reject others and argue in return. Communities have had problems with addictions through generations and speak against it as a result; prevention. Curiosity or influences or the wish to be part of a group, that's how it begins for anyone; some won't continu, some will adapt, but the damage can happen on the first try or on the long run. If the person has responsibilities, conflicts follow; that's what any family wants to prevent; in other cases, none likes to see someone reactive for nothing; everyone prefers to see someone accomplished suggesting other type of activities than drugs, than seeing someone suffering from addiction. None likes to see someone approaching like a friend to sell junk to better get money in spite of the side effects. You think drinking is brainwash too? It's all the same to me. I was about to make a descriptions of what we had to live in the past but this would drain the fun in the thread. Just know that neighboors here hate me because I request respect for the family; it tells alot.

Sometimes I wonder if you're joking. If it's a question of feeling, just mind condition yourself to play with appreciation; the fun will come naturaly; I'm hyper each time I get on retro arcades.
Sounds like a commercial; am I supposed to say "yeah, I want it; take my money?" Under weed, you just don't care, or you care about everything, or agree with everything, or you feel just like talking, or you're laughing at everything or end in your own bubble and fall asleep. You become like one of those victims under the Joker's perfume, with a big smile on your face for nothing. If you get closer to someone, you might say yes, and then regret it when back on Earth. It's like drinking alot; you don't become more social; you can talk alot, share, and laugh alot; the ego, that will depends of your mind; but it's still fake and mistakes happen.

... Just get groovy, honnest, fair; you will find a new world right in front of you. Far from being a conforming shell, an adult knows its values as a human being, the meaning of the other. I prefer firefighters at their best than cheech n chong trying to save a building, if you know what I mean...

Let's get one thing straight about weed: Weed is not a "thing". It a group. There are hundreds of different strains and they all have psychological effects. And no it is nothing like Joker's perfume. Joker's perfume is like botulism, it is a fake smile. The weed smile is real. And yes it does kind of feel like the Joker, but a non-violent, pacifist, lovey Joker. A Joker of love not war.

And each strain of weed can have different effects. One time I did a certain strain of weed, and I was afraid and paranoid of videogames. And I wanted to go to bed. But my friends kept waking me up and it was annoying. But once I went to bed, I had the amazing dreams and best sleep ever. Other strains of weed, are different. When you are on them, movies and games feel like they were meant to be watched and played.

Have you ever watched the Spongebob show? It shows what goes on in Spongebob's mind. Sunshine, rainbows, candy, psychadelics. Weed makes you feel happy. Society is more like Squidward. Miserable. Unhappy. And they think it makes them feel superior. They are addicted to their unhappiness. Addicted to their adulthood. Like this song:

    Care to elaborate?

I am primarily concerned with altruistic hedonistic pursuits. Without hedonism (anhedonia) life is not worth living. I consider fire fighting hedonism, because, it protects families, instead of letting them burn alive (displeasure) but saves them (overall, increasing the amount of pleasure) and also gives endorphins and purpose (direction) to the firefighter.

    "Proof"
I see a lot of anecdotal evidence as per usual.
The 90s were great for games, but we still get great games now. The 90s had the advantage of games being new so it was easy to be innovative or unique. But they weren't perfect, and a lot of modern games have improved on those formulas and mechanics. But you're too focused on the negative to see that. The same can be said for most things really, it can be hard to see but things *are* always getting a little better, we just have too many of you whining about how **** things are, and now internet has made you all louder which makes you all think it's much worse.
Also, weed(like most things) is fine in moderation, but I wouldn't recommend it for serious gaming... I know from first-hand experience how it affects attention spans and cognitive abilities during games, as well as driving irl, as your reaction times are impaired, just like alcohol. It's fine for relaxing and playing Mario Kart or anything else not serious.

    Quantity does not mean quality.

You know what high polygon means?

More of a mesh (mess, if Sean Connery pronounced it), artists who have meshes so big it requires extreme intellectual fortitude to manage. Switching on the mechanical part of you mind, while less focus is on the artistic side of your mind.

I already covered my basis. I already stated that Double Dash is better than Super Mario Kart, and that some retro games, do suck. My argument isn't like one of those retro game worshipping fan/nuts. My argument is saying simply, that modern games are especially disappointing. This is objective, I can explain how.

All the games of metacritic over 9, made some years ago, compared with more recent games, have been measured. There was more games back then rated 9. As time goes on, there are less games that achieve an over 9 rating. Secondly, the ratio of indie games getting 9s have become higher, in relation to the amount of AAA games getting 9s getting lower. Critics are corrupt and give over-generous rigged ratings. So even the corrupt critics have been giving games bad ratings, games must be really bad.

There are reasons for why this is. One reason, I stated earlier, high poly does not mean high quality. When I played of Mario Kart 8, I played the Neo Bowser City. I thought it look nice. But then I played the Neo Bowser City of of Mario Kart Wii, CTGP. The map looked like gamecube graphics. And it looked so much better. Because do you know how many pixels the human eye is?
The human eye has 6 million cones, 120 million rods.
Rods don't really have color vision, only night vision. It is the cones that produce color vision. And it takes 3 cones to see in color.
Do you know what that means? It means the color resolution of the eye is no more than 1980x1080. It looks more enhanced because the rods, give it a subtle detail effect to make it look more HD.

It's like this. There is a such thing as too much detail in a scene. The brain cannot process that many details on so small of a screen, it looks unnatural. When we see a natural scene in real life, our field of view is much wider, like an IMAX. But trying to process all of that, on a small screen, just feels off. And my TV is actually pretty big actually, 32 inch, and I still have trouble reading the fonts on many xbox games. The fonts are so bad I literally have to get up and move about 2 feet away from the TV to read it, and I have 20/20 vision.

So what does that mean for games? If the resolution of the eye is 1980x1080, and a screen only takes up a certain fraction of our vision, then the screen only need be a fraction of 1980x1080. 1024x768 is a pretty good resolution, as long as anti-aliasing is applied. For a true big screen, like 3 feet or more, you are going to want something 1980x1080. I played Dirt Rally on an extreme big screen, about 4 and a half feet wide. It looked very nice, I am not sure if the resolution was 720p or 1080p. Anything higher is not needed.

The joker's recipe wasn't necessary. And I think you won't like a "joker of love". But I understand you. About "fake"; if I use a substance and visit a friend, even if I laugh, I won't feel honnest; and if such condition breaks the rails, it becomes a disapointment. Staying in the subject "substance for entertainment", if to enjoy a party, a friend, an event, I feel a need to use a substance, it means that I'm neglecting my understanding and appreciation; I won't take such path when so many have said "if I had knew". If someone invites me there with such smile, I keep moving; I've been invited to many things, and witnessed many conflicts and unecessary situations; too often, I was a moderator.
If you could choose between a positive environment to make you feel happy, or a "turn on/off switch", what would you choose. If it's the switch, this is where the problem begins; not only you want to use it again but your appreciation of "ordinary moments" gets lower, you affect your consideration of the surrounding and do not always idealy respond to situations; for some, it's an open door to depression. The brain is built on a reward system; the more good you do, the more hyper you become; the feeling of being "accomplished" is unique.
I love those songs too. Still, each time I read such things, I will say the opposite, because it's one perspective. People are also holding hands tight; they try to preserve what's still standing and enjoy the company of those who work hard to stay positive while cheering up those who need a seat. They turn their back to what's negative and preserve their happiness; it is adulthood; they feel proud but not superior. All of them want to see positive actions and they know that around them others live similarities; it's not being miserable, it's being rich.
    It's happiness.

Just because you aren't processing the information, doesn't mean that it is chaos.

Don't know what you mean by rails, and you have to specify what substance. I never heard of weed causing any conflicts. And conflicts occur with or without booze. The prohibition caused many conflicts, some violent people become pacifist when drunk. Other times, people become violent when drunk.

And what it really is, is, people live dishonest, brainwashed lives without weed. At an early age you are sent to a city and indoctrinated into the customs of the city. This is not genuine living and you are not free to express your own thoughts. With weed it deactivates your brainwashing and allows you to express your real self.

Many people get depressed, having never done weed. Like I said earlier, living in the city is artificial, it imposes artificial expectations and high stresses on the organism. With the unnatural demands expected from the city, and lack of real freedom of expression, depression occurs.

For example, someone insults me to my face, and I want to take them out back and beat them. Nope can't, because there is a lawman and cameras looking over my shoulder. I have to worry about getting taken to court. Depromoted from my job. Losing my license. Etc. All artificial, unnatural. And so I bottle up my anger, and if I scream and yell I am told I need anger management, group therapy, to see a therapist, etc. where they teach you ways of coping with the cities unnatural regulations. And that's all it is, coping. Warping your mind so you can cope with the stresses of an unnatural and tyrannical way of life.

Most people are poor. And most people pretend to be happy but they are not. They wear a fake smile, like the Joker perfume you were talking about earlier.

Lol. Well, split screen does make my eyes sore when looking at menus. But you gotta sit down and play it with some Bros. I know it's not the most visually appealing, but the combat is nice, the multi player is nicer and the fear is real. Though, you can have your own preferences.
Really now? For starters, you should have noticed several on these forums.
Ninja cube. Soul healer. Etc. And how about shovel night? Or Bomberman R? Heck, that one's based directly off super Bomberman 2. Which is another fave of mine. Or stardew valley? Or Octopath? Come now. there are plenty.
Well, I'll concede the skill point, as I personally play Galaga better on caffiene. But believe me. You may feel like you are in a better place while on weed, but you are still in the same place. Which sounds like denial. And you can't hear yourself when your high, when I look at the people when they are on weed, they look like zombies who can't talk straight. Really, if people who aren't on weed tell you you're crazy when you are, you should trust them. They only want the best for you.

Um, about the last post. Don't bottle up your anger. There are legal ways of letting it out. I just act ultra kind to the insulter. I get wicked pleasure out of the obvious dissatisfaction that creeps up there hateful face!

Have you played Pokemon: edge rising?
It's a fan game, but you might find it interesting.

As ever, please come argue with me with decent proof that I am wrong, and we can all work together to find out what the truth is as close as we can determine.

You make games. Surely your artistic sense is more developed than that.
You have said hi poly is crap compared to life. So life is more complex than a game, and you're right. But there are beautiful things in life to. Made by man even. Remember that artists and mechanics are often different people.

Also, when arguing, you must have a valid argument. Which can not be achieved by just calling people out on there lame analogys, only to reverse the amalogy and use it yourself.

Also, when arguing, a valid argument can not be achieved by calling everyone a society afflicted zombie. Please be willing to realize that we all have seen the damage society has done. And the fact that we are willing to pursue a long argument without rage quitting means we give a crap. Which zombies don't btw. (If you think that last sentence is a lame analogy, I don't care.)

Sorry, I just have a lot of cents to throw in.

Unnatural? Why? What did you do? You weren't doing weed while driving or working were you? I hope not. Cause that is the end result. Also, drugs aren't bad. Overdose is bad. Weed is controlled because nothing would stop us from overdosing. Alcohol is a drug too, y'know.
If it makes you happy to do it, then you are in denial, and anyone can take advantage of you. Don't deny the world. Confront it. In that way, you can solve problems and be free forever. Not just while smoking. That's real happiness. And everyone else can be happy too. You're too old to play pretend when faced with the real world.

I dunno. I couldn't get into the fear. I don't mind low poly graphics, but everything is just cubes. It looks cutesy and its hard to take seriously.
When I said cutesy, I didn't mean actually cute. I think the cube graphics are atrocious, more pixellated than Doom 1. Minecraft is the equivalent of looking at a MS Paint scribble drawing, zoomed in to 800%. It just makes me feel sick to my stomach to look at.

While the movement code itself is nice, it is easy to make grid based movement systems like that. And while the movement code itself is nice, actually moving around is really annoying and awful, because I constantly have to jump over cubes over and over again.
There is a reason Super Mario added slopes in Super Mario 3, because they predicted the public would grow tired of repetitive jumping over cubes over and over. And in Minecraft its extreme, you have to jump over cubes even more than Super Mario 1.

Sorry, I'm not really into old school RPGs. They seem too tedious to me and they don't really suck me in, when I play it just feels like I could be doing something more exciting with my time. Shovel Knight, Bomberman R, all look ok to me, but nothing I would go gaga over. I was never that crazy about the original Megaman to begin with, the difficulty was just too high. I saw NinjaCube, it looks ok I guess. I can't find any youtube videos on it. I saw the reveal trailer of Soul Healer, the game looks nice but the trailer just has generic public domain classical music in the background, it screams low effort to me. And the trailer has no story to it, just random unrelated clips of footage placed next to each other with no overarching message. The only thing the trailer tells me is that it's retro, and I should want to play it because it's retro.

When I'm on weed I'm still sane and rational. Some of the people around me aren't, only because they are weak-minded. Because they have low soul-strength. The kinds of folk, who you punch one time and they get KO'd insantly. Because they are all brain, they don't have strength of soul, they are just completely controlled by their brain and nothing else. So when they do drugs, they are unable to logic or reason properly. Whereas someone like me, has a certain level of awareness that my speech is slurred, but still maintain the same logic and reason as before. And on weed I know I am in the same physical location. But my mind has expanded away from the limited ego awareness of society. Do you know that wherever you go in society, you are afraid of being judged by society? With weed you feel enlightenment, unlike the judgey atmosphere of highschool cliques. That doesn't mean I'd actually go in public while high, not because I'm emotionally afraid of it, but because, I logically know it is a bad idea.

That is so lame man. That is what I mean, society is warping your mind to think that such a thing is cool. It's like the inversion of awesome.

So, your argument seems to be agreeing with me, but it is framed as a counter-argument, even though all of it's claims supports my claims.

Okay not everyone is a full zombie, but most are. Some are also, partial zombies.

    It's fine, I have quarters.

The only time I heard of anyone overdosing on weed was some cop guy, who called the cops because it was his first time. I have personally overdosed while I was on weed, however like I said there are different strains. Overdosing wasn't the most pleasant experience, but I don't think anyone has ever died on weed, and when you overdose you can just go to bed and you will feel fine.

No, my paragraph was about fighting out back, nothing to do with weed. It was a theoretical situation, about getting into trouble over physical fighting, because everything in the city is regulated, controlled, artificial, unnatural. The city is pretend. Not real. It is real in the sense that draconianism, or orwellianism is real, obey their fake, hypocritical morality or else. The punishment for disobedience is real, but it is fake in every other sense of the word.

... has said the person on her locomotive...
I guess you understand the word "addiction"....
Because you "brainwashed" yourself with popular speech..
    Then stop contradicting yourself.
Another contradiction. Also, in this moment, you are still free to write your point of view. About expressing the "real self"; existence has seen plenty of men and women who improved their community by staying true to their potential; a passion appear without the need of a substance. If you need a babysitter, you will seek someone who is following the "genuine living", not someone confused in their own cloud and addiction. I see each day everywhere people living their real self, often they are in the first half of their life, others create magic with their heart by develloping in others their inner potential through wisdom, not a substance; it is why admiration is instinctivly felt in front a guide in discipline. No substance "deactivate" a "brainwash", sometimes it even makes it worst; the "deactivation" happens when the brain compares suggestions vs human values. In case you haven't noticed, you have suggested to plug a person on a substance, the sooner the better, to prevent that person from being "brainwashed", because not being a consumer means to you not living a genuine life and being victim of manipulation; I am not certain that any good mind will agree with such suggestion, not even yourself... People are maybe not receiving their due, but many don't give up and don't fall into addiction or it would make things worst for themselves and those they consider.
A city will always be created by an organized sense of responsibility. You have revealed that a city can also be victim of exploitation; the result of such stress; in that sense, a person is not depressed for not being a consumer, but because some influences and selfishness affect their integrity. It is not necessary to destroy a civilisation to restore a good balance; you will be the first to rebuilt it; heart values make the difference, not an addiction, not a temporary state of mind. Living in a city is not artificial; even if you replace the skyscrappers, it will still be a city.
From now on, I consider any following messages as trolling. On one side, you speak of love, and that a substance frees the mind from violence. On the other side, you reveal that it is totaly not the case and that it doesn't make a person "level up". You are only struggling for your wish to cloud your mind. Forget cameras, lawmen, the court, it never existed before; what existed was worst, the community as judge, jury and executioner; difficult times where everyone got togheter to survive, establishing rules to maintain order and where exploitation still made its way in to blame an innocent. No matter the era, it leads to a form of order, regulations, worst, a tyranny.
Structures aren't artificial and unnatural; any familiy wants to be considered and wish to see the other return in good health; even yourself are now requesting to not be insulted, revealing the negative side effect it can create; the way you sound, you will be the first to call the other an idiot if one in your circle returned in bad shape after a bad word; when knowing that life is precious and that a simple reaction can take it away, you understand with all the conflicts that lifting fists is hazardous; the past had no modern alternatives, you got sick or wounded and you were in danger; each society has had their own concept of strenght; for one, it was the ability of incapacitating the other; somewhere else, it was the art of discipline and prevention; in many cases, it was more acceptable to hurt an other group, but if you made the mistake of hurting your own, you would be done for; you would make regulations. And some beliefs weren't right and people accepted such understanding; substances only made such "brainwash" worst. At least, through evolution, each civilisation has learned to see the other as not being so different through exemples. Life expectancy is even still low in some parts of the world today, not because of violence but simply hard life conditions. And you speak of "brainwash"? If it is true that a society is not well balanced, it is not through a substance that things will improve, but through the values of the heart.
Nothing that wasn't said before. For now on, I know you will repeat your song, I'm listening to it no more.

Then you should play baldis basics and know what it's really like. Also, you like old games, and I make pixel art on MS paint. Zoomed to eight hundred. Though not always.

Well, thats fine. You can like whatever genres you want. How about stardew? Please. Soul healer obviously has lots of effort. Though even Rich admits to be lazy occasionally. But his trailer is one more trailer than you have. As far as I know.

Enlightened? Hightened awareness? Again, you wouldn't know, because you're on weed. Believe me, I've seen people who did drugs for much of their lives, and they have personality problems because of it that they don't even realize are there. Partially because they are in denial. These are family members by the way. And it's illogical to go out in public high? If you were so free and enlightened, they wouldn't notice. Lol.

    Thank you.

I know. But fighting back doesnt mean beating people who insult you.

Again. Nothing good or cool about beating people who only insult you. Eye for an eye. Kindness works because it's a hidden insult that they cant decipher. It's not supposed to be awesome. It's brute effeciency. And you feel satisfied, without doing something immoral. I don't think it's cool. I think Its powerful. Also, don't tell me society brainwashed me. I'm a homeschooled kid who grew up in a rural area and has been using the internet for less than a year. I rarely watched TV too. Society is a beast that is new to me. This topic is stuff I thought of for fun. Lol.

On a side note. You seem to suggest that we just ought to seek pleasure. While this is not entirely wrong, lots of things that bring pleasure are also harmful. So it's not inherently right just because it brings pleasure. Again though, alcohol isn't inherently wrong. Heck, Jesus drank wine.

seeing we are using music as examples. I suggest you look up lyrics.

Edit- this has been a much better discussion than in the past. Most improved.

Your posts are what's a loaf of garb. And I reported your post because, you play this silly game of insulting me and trolling my threads and disrupting discussion. And because the natural way would be to go outside and put up our dukes, but we can't do that because kids are sheltered by the internet, they think they can insult people endlessly and not have any kind of retaliation. So I report you, which is the next closest thing I can do to this level of annoyance.

You are so transparent. Your girlfriend dumped you, so you think you can be a bully and just pick on me, because I didn't give your Jam game a high rating. Its so laughable.

Now for the other two, still not being reasonable. Not fighting words so I guess I will continue the debate.
You keep going on and changing the goalposts. We were talking about weed, then you change the topic to "drugs and addictions". Its a convenient tactic you people use, conveniently lump all drugs together and acting like they are the same. So you can demonize weed and pretend its just as bad as crack, meth or heroine. Well its not. And if you believe it is then you are doing make believe.

You have so-called views on weed, but let me ask have you even done weed because you shouldn't knock something you never even tried first hand.

And here's the bottom line. You don't know what I've been through or what they did to me. I was a raging beast before I was ever on weed. Everyday I hate and loathe the people who did wrong to me. So you got two options. You want me to be a raging beast the rest of my life, full of hate and anger. Or you can let me do weed, and be a nice person, you have to make up your mind. But don't say there is any contradiction. If I'm not allowed to do weed, then I should be at least allowed to vent my anger, using the proper channels, which is going out back, putting up our dukes, and laying the smackdown on those who anger me. You can't ban my weed and then ban my only real way to vent. That is absolutely tyrannical and I refused to be told what I can and cannot do like that.

FYI America has the worst justice system on the planet and 6 times a higher prison population than china. So all the improvements you believe the modern system has accomplish are simply imaginary, in your mind. Back in the day, Billy the Kid stood up to corrupt sheriffs and corrupt law enforcement and took them out. Nowadays, if a corrupt cop shoots an innocent person, or innocent dog, nothing even happens to the cop other than a slap of the wrist usually. Oh and its fake news that lies and says Billy the Kid was a bad person, he was actually a good person who stood up to a corrupt sheriff. And its also fake news Billy shot anyone in their sleep, Billy did not shoot anyone in their sleep, it was the other way around, he was shot in the back by a Judas.
