Legacy GM Problem with scaling.

Hey guys!
I'm in the early stages of my new (and first serious) game.
I want the game to be playable on any screen with as little distortion possible.

I am very new to scaling. I read Pixelated Pope's tutorial, but didn't seem to get it applied to my project.
I recently made a post asking if it was possible to scale the game afterwards.

But since I already implemented some very basic GUI functions, I'm afraid it won't work out in the end.
So I'm looking for someone to help me on this one.

What do I need to do, in order for my game to be playable in fullscreen mode?
I don't know much about scaling and resolution.

My game is going to use some large rooms, with views.

I'm actually looking for someone to help me out with this even outside of this forum.
I'd really appreciate the help, since I really want to learn it!
