Windows Porting from GM to GM2 issues

I'm having issues with Porting from GM to GM2, my game in GM had a few minor bugs that I fixed and the game ran before importing to GM2. Now in GM2, the game fails to launch. I have looked up this issue time and time again today, still can't figure it out. I'm hoping someone here has an idea of where to look for the issue.

Random thoughts...

Try to compile with the yoyo compiler and maybe it will flag some things that the normal compiler misses.

Use 2.25 instead of 2.3. Seriously. This could be the whole problem.

Comment out any scripts or objects that load at the very beginning of your game and see if you can get it to run and then oscillate where the problem is. It could be something as simple as a missing semicolon after a var declaration...Trying to create an instance before the first room has loaded...Failure to open an external file that is already open... Something simple.
