Pod Guardian is a multi-directional shooter and a sequel of Galaxy Rebel Force.
The gameplay has been vastly changed from its previous game to make it more simple and fun to play.
The biggest problem of Galaxy Rebel Force was it's frustrating difficulty. In Pod Guardian, The Controls are much simpler, Enemies are more forgiveable, your weapons are much easier to use and more powerful, and There are difficulty options for novice players.
Unlike Galaxy Rebel Force, Your primary mission is collecting 'pod's and protecting them from the enemies who will steal them. If you do it for the 5 waves, The Space Trade will come where you can exchange pods to buy things or upgrade your ship.
Protecting pods is important not only for scoring but also for survival. If you lost all pods, All pirates will turn into mutants (Does not happen in Boring difficulty), and You can't buy anything without pods.
It's mainly inspired by Datastorm, Dropzone, with some aspects from sinistar, space fury, and asteroids.
Musics are done by Rob Fenn.
