Hello, I am struggling to understand the steps required just to create a test executable that can be shared (it is both complex and confusing). So far I am aware a build can produce a working executable on your machine, but due to signing it can't be shared. The gamemaker notes below outline the need for Xcode, however the steps don't tie up with what I am seeing (I suspect it is because you need a Mac Developer account - the premium one which is 99$ a year). Can anyone please confirm this? By following the links elsewhere I eventually find an option to share outside of apple store, but still requires Xcode and setting up "hardened runtime " which im still researching but looks likely to also need a 'enrolled developer account' i.e. premium.
