Distribution Platform for releasing a closed beta?

I'm looking for a platform (ideally a free one, i'd like to hear of others anyway) where I could release a beta for bug testing and feedback. I'd rather not have to deal with platforms like steams early access due to the already existent stigma and high standards people place on it.
Also the fact that steam expects these to be paid early access, which isn't what I had in mind.

Can anyone point me in the right direction on this?
    Thanks!

Itchio has a system like this too, where you can have the game page work like normal (including uploading new versions of files) but only invited people can access it. Combine it with account-locked download keys and bam, you have a working closed beta.
