Physics slowdown

If fps of game falls below room_speed and game can't keep up, all physics objects movement slows down. Any way to prevent that?

Without physics engine you can implement delta_time, but how to deal with physics engine?

Any response will be appreciated.

Same thing happens if I enable vsync and monitor refresh rate != room_speed
if monitor refresh rate is lower than room_speed and vsync is enabled game slows down, if refresh rate is higher - game speeds up.
I thought physics engine was not really tied to game speed. Any ideas how to fix?
