Windows Particle effect support in GMS2

Greetings all,

GMS1.4 does not support a full range of particle effects functionality compared with professional level particle effects software.

Has there been any improvement on this front with GMS2, or at very least, does the new 'infrastructure' allow for improvement at a later date?

Particles will see improvement in the future, though there's no time line on it atm as far as I'm aware. We are all eager to improve that side of the engine.

How about now? Its been a couple years since this post, and I'm sure people are still wanting impoved particle capabilities. Is this something that is on the "hidden" roadmap for 2019 by chance?

Yes, GM doesn't have any built-in editor for particles and particles as separate object type in resource tree. Would be great to see this.
