Hey all,
I'm looking a pixel artist to work on a tile set for a CPRG harking back to the good old days of the Ultima series. I'm currently developing a game with similar aesthetics and have worked with a lot of the existing resources available to artistically challenged programmers (e.g. the Oryx sprites or Denzi's sprites) and whilst they're all awesome, I want something with a bit more of a 'developed in your bedroom' feel.
For reference, I'm looking sprites similar to http://wiki.ultimacodex.com/images/2/2d/Ultima_5_-_Tiles.png but with a more gritty feel, e.g. http://orig03.deviantart.net/1330/f/2010/320/9/7/ultima_v_homage_by_jjnaas-d32zazy.png
I'm currently only looking tiles for a world, not characters. I'd be looking somewhere in the region of approximately 100 16x16 tiles, no animation required for anything.
This is a paid position per asset delivery and not revenue share or team members. Terms of payment / rate etc. to be discussed. Rights to the assets will belong to me for commercial distribution with any game made from it but of course credits will go to the artist.
Let me know if you're interested and we can talk! Feel free to PM me here.
Thanks,
Sanchez
