We in Mental Outcast Games are looking for experienced and/or knowledgeable GameMaker developers and pixel artists residing in Norway.

The positions are paid with our rev-share model, but every team member has to provide themselves with their own software and hardware to do the necessary jobs.

Please check the links above for more information about the positions. We are also looking for a Drupal 8 developer/designer. You can find that job post on our Facebook page as well.

About the project:

The game is based on a novel where the protagonist chases the legend of the wolves, which went extinct 200 years ago due to excess hunting. The game will consist of episodically released titles, and we're currently working on the first part, where the protagonist experiences a tragic event resulting in the death of her mother, inspiring her to go out on her own adventure, following the legend of the wolves in an alternate universe, with locations based on Scandinavia.

We have decided to release the game episodically to keep the project in manageable sizes, to later merge them together in one big game after all the episodes are released.

The game itself will be made in GameMaker Studio 1.4 and will feature a oblique camera angle, similar to games like CrossCode.

About the team:

The Mental Outcast Games team currently consists of 4 people; Myself the leader of the team, one animal designer and planner, one sound producer and one designer. We are currently in the process of getting a concept artist on our team who will likely join our team shortly, making us 5 people in total.

We do not yet have any released titles, so we're building ourselves a foundation in the Norwegian game industry with plans to establish a AS with an office in Trondheim after we have secured ourselves a capital big enough to do so.

Again, these are not paid positions per se, but is treated like a part-time job compensated through our rev-share model (Revenue Share; meaning everyone receive a cut of the net profits from our projects after release).
