Night Shift: HappyMart is a game that I have been working on by myself where you are an employee working the notorious night shift. You were employed at HappyMart to manage the store, but little did you know that the forest surrounding the store is haunted with all sorts of monstrosities. Survive the night while doing various tasks to keep the monsters at bay!



Gameplay

• Manage your sanity and energy throughout the night.
• Read the rulebook to learn the monster's habits and counter them.
• Do specific tasks to earn more money for items to help you survive the night.
• Items and what they do.
  • Flashlight: Toggles a small light source you can move around.
  • Lock: Can be placed on the fuse box out back to prevent pesky critters from getting inside.
  • Energy Bar: Restores a decent amount of energy.
  • Sanity Soda: Restores a generous amount of sanity.
  • Garbage*: Throw 'em out to add to your progression bar.
  • Trash piles*: Slows the player significantly when traversing through it. Pressing 'E' will clean it up and place it in your inventory or at your feet if your inventory is full.
  • Spilled Drinks*: Slows the player significantly when traversing through it. Use your mop to clean up the spill.
  • Storage Box*: Used to to restock shelves inside the store.
  • Mop: The player will begin mopping when used.
  • Candy Bar: Restores a large amount of energy and a bit of sanity when consumed.
  • Notebook: Allows the player to check what special events will happen during the night.
  • Key: Lets the player to open and close the back door of the store. If you have this item on your person, you can still go through the door despite it being closed and locked.
• Navigate the CCTV cameras to safely check what is happening around the store.

* Doing the task that revolves around this item will give money if it is the bonus task of the night. The bonus task is random every playthrough and can be seen at the bulletin board.
