Need help with background

I have a background that is 640x640, and I have object that is 32x32. When I place the object on the background, it doesn't go inside the squares on the grid, instead it goes where the lines intersect. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong, or why it is doing this? Thanks for your help.

Either change the offset of your original background image by 16,16 or change your grid size in the room editor to something smaller.

Thank you that worked, also when i have the view so its following my character, do you know how to set it so it follows it all the time....not just when it gets to the edge of the screen?

Yes.... change the border Hbor and Vbor settings to half your view width and height.
