Why is Studio 2 $100 on Steam, but you can buy a "Creator" Version on their site for only $40? Basically, what's the difference?

The pricing is the same as the non-steam versions. $99 for a permanent license. $39 for a yearly license.

Not true.
Steam version is telling me its £75.99
but if I log into my YYG account, its like 30% off and showing as £50.
I would like it on steam but £25 more? nope.. Do you get a steam key if you buy the standalone? I assume not.

Yes you do, just login to your YYG account and link your Steam account for access on Steam.
The same is true if you buy on Steam - link the accounts and you can use Standalone.
