Windows KIROE - 3D Hack & Slash (DEMO AVAIBLE)

KIROE : Citizen Protector

Game objectif : There are some citizen on each planet. You have to protect them from mob in order to go to next planet.
I'm working on this project frome a little more than one year, in my small free time... I use GM from 5.3a version, so i've make some 2d games, but it's my first quite big 3D project (i've only make some test with 3d and lots of little things before but no full games)

- Improve IA ennemy

25 june 2019 :
- replaces skeletal enemies with gremlins (less polygon so better performance)
- Add patrols enemies when room start
- Add player defense with shield (using right clic and, a chance to auto-protect when he is attacked)
- Add player and enemis animations (defense with shield, die, hit, ...)
- Add health bar on citizen to protect

Don't know if its just me but I do notice a slight lag in the video (Not sure if it is my computer or not) It is a great game over all, like the idea of it and carry on making it :) Don't really see many people do games that like anymore. Thanks for making a great game like these I enjoy these :)
 
Well there is no lag in the game, it's maybe the video recorder tool....
I'm working on this project from one year now, i try to always reduce polygon in order to have no lag.

This is oozing potential. Would you consider zooming the camera in to some of the action slightly when you're attacking an enemy?

I'm searching some ideas for more planet theme: on the video it could be a forest theme. I have think a desert theme with lots of Sand and cactus. Have you any more idea with there objects theme ? :)
Also any idea for enemy type ? :)

He didn't. He said he's been using GM since 5.3. The video says GMS project.

Looks pretty cool! I agree some zoom would be nice, to see enemies and especially also the NPCs if there is dialogue/cutscenes.
I'll keep an eye out for demo.

I love the style of this, smooth but twisted, like Burton's vision of sculpture and architecture, or more like early League of Legends. I can't resist to admire this.

For improvements:
The knockback is a bit jumpy.
Try variating the attacks.
The enemies look like they only look different.
 
Added :
- player death
- New mission : you have to find and delivere citizen before to protect them from enemy waves
- better enemy waves
- Mission information while playing game
- Message information when level start and level completed
- minor bugs fixed
- .....

Hey, time to give some little news, the project is still alive :

- The main menu has been delete :

- So now to select a level, i added the King's Castle map (with a casttle, some npc, ....) , and you can talk to a npc wich will offers you some quests :

- Also, i added differents outfits to the mobs :

(some of them got spells and others can heal)

- Lots of little improvement , bug correction, game size reduction, ....

Small note- in the last pics you just posted, the grass seems a bit dark to me- since its a flat, open surface, I would keep it so it fits with the highlighted other objects.

mob outfits are cool. keep it up!

I had to stop some few month this project because of my work (and also because i was a little bored)

there are 128 3d objects (in d3d format)
And 20 .obj files.
Also there are : 118 scripts, 981 sprites, 116 objects :)
Thi is probably my biggest project at this time ^^

Awesome stuff. Where are people getting these 3d engines for GMS from?

A little introductory video when you start a new game, menu option with 5 languages, music and sound effect ON/Off, you can choose between azerty ou Qwerty keyboard, 20 levels, 9 weapons, music and somme sound effects....
I have to add some few things, like : damage bonus, differents ennemi IA, ... But i think i will be able to publish a playable demo before the end of summer :) :)
