Making games is hard indeed but a good way to start is to just watch a tutorial to get yourself thinking. There are a lot of tutorials on youtube that are worth watching.
I've been doing some game design, level design, pixel art, music composition, and generally reading up on the industry, for a few years, but have so far only fiddled around a bit with actual game engines.

It seems noone is able make a capsule collider or a circle collier to abe able to stay on the ground even in 3D.

I've used so many different game dev environments... DarkBASIC, DarkBASIC Pro, BlitzMAX, Monkey, Monkey 2, AGK, Unity... I've also done straight hard coding game dev using C#, VB, C++, C, BASIC, Delphi, Pascal 7 using either DirectX, OpenGL/AL or native APIs on MacOS, Linux and Windows. I'm probably leaving something out somewhere. I generally make business apps using C# and used to use VB.NET / VB6 (thankfully, no more VB for me!)

My name is Rikifive and I'm from Poland.
I've joined, because I have questions regarding the software and its behavior (system-wise).
I think I got GM almost a year ago, but I haven't used it that much, because I was busy with other things. My first (silly) game ever made with GM is this:
~ and currently that's the only game I've made using that software, but I want to change that. I'm working on a bigger project, that I'm pretty sure nobody would like to hear about.
In the past, before I switched to GM, I was using a software called "RPG Maker VX Ace". I've made few games in that software, but none of them were actually RPG's. Yeah, I haven't used that program properly. One of my bigger projects was a platformer-shooter game written from scratch in Ruby using the software mentioned before. Heh, when I realized, that GM would be a much better choice, I paused its development.

I am using GameMaker (Free version) for already about 3 years and I am pretty satisfied with the simplicity and usefulness of it (currently using GameMaker: Studio Standard Edition). I haven't done any serious work yet, but having fun with experimenting (and having 20+ unfinished projects). Hello, Got the GM studio 1 from humble bumble so cheap I thought its too good to pass up. I come from website building and hosting/ android app building not so much games kinda get lost in it all/dont have the time or memory capacity to actually do anything good with it. So after a few weeks of having this i finally picked it up to see what its like, so far so good. Followed a few tuts to get use to the UI and see what this GML is all about, very nice btw so simple even a monkey with no time and the memory capacity of a ....forgot where i was going with this, thinks he could make something out of this .
