 Image Editor Deselect shortcut keys

The image editor is really awesome, something that i feel is missing is to de-select selections with a shortcut key. most image editors have a quick way to de-select, i think ctrl-d is one i know i have used previously in other software, or even the ability to change the hotkeys in options.

i know you can use alt to subtract from the selection but you still have to drag the mouse across the screen. it would be nice to have a quick way to clear all the selection.
