Mac OSX iMac 2011 question

Hi, I have a mid-2011 iMac, 8GB of RAM and a 2.5ghz i5.

Up until my current project, GMS2 has run pretty well. The current project however is slowing down the IDE a lot. Does anyone else have this issue on a newer more powerful system, or is it just always gonna run slow on my system?

What is the limiting factor for the IDE (actual game runs fine), RAM, CPU, or both?

Many thanks

Go to Utilities folder and open Activity monitor. Through this, you'll be able to see where you're system resources are being allocated and to what extent (watch ram usage very closely). Is your video card integrated or independent?
