Yes you can link your Steam account to your YYG account, and the link is apparently now bi-directional.
This means if you buy through YYG you get access to the Steam version, and if you buy on Steam you get access to the standalone version from the YYG website.

I just searched "steam gamemaker 2 desktop" on Google and first result links straight to it: http://store.steampowered.com/app/585410/

Thank you very much! Hm, the link seems to work for me now too. Any way, thanks for answering so quick!

Edit: So I bought it and I'm trying to export to Android. Looking for how to set up SDK.

This link isn't working for me:

Any other help?
You won't be able to export to Android using the Desktop version of GMS2, you need to buy the "Mobile" module for that, which will allow you to export to Android and iOS. Desktop version allows export to Windows / Mac / Ubuntu (Linux).

GMS2 Android Setup Guide can be found here: https://help.yoyogames.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001368727-Setting-Up-For-Android

Hi, I'd like to know if I buy GM Studio 2 Mobile on Steam, can I also export for desktop? If not, can I buy just te Mobile module and use it to export for Android? Or do I have to already have the desktop version to use it?

@Gabriel Amici If you buy GMS2 Mobile on Steam, you will be able to develop and test your game on your Windows desktop, but you can export only to mobile (iOS and Android). If you want to export your game to desktop systems---i.e., make .exe or similar files that you can distribute and sell for Windows, Mac, Linux---then you need to buy the desktop license.

The licenses are independent. You do not need the desktop license if you want to make only mobile games.
