Hello, I have just downloaded Game Maker Studio and was wonder where the button for Design Documents is or if you just use a program like notepad for your Design Documents.
You can use Notepad, MS Word, Google Docs, a pen and paper - whatever you prefer.
If you are unsure of what a GDD should look like, Google "Game Design Document" and you will find lots of info, examples, templates etc.
There are also many GDDs for commercial games available online that you can read through and use for inspiration.
