How would I destroy a textbox made in this video?

well one way is to have a timer in the object that lasts for like 10 seconds or so (10*room_speed;) and then at the end of the timer do (instance_destroy();)

it really depends on how you want them to be destroyed. you just need to apply an instance destroy
