Windows How to Turn Off Automatic Saving?

I accidentally deleted an object from the list of my game that was very important, and now I have to do the whole thing over again instead of just being able to close out of GM2 and reloading my current save.
Why does GM2 automatically save when doing anything? How can I turn this feature off. I know how to save my games when I need to, and I don't need the program to do it for me.

Yeah I don’t like the auto save. I want to save when I want to save. But I understand why they do it.
