I had seen some dnd coding in some old GM8 videos. Maybe you can take a look 
What version of GameMaker are you using? In GMS1.4 this is not possible, and scripts must be GML. However in GMS2 this is perfectly possible... see: http://docs2.yoyogames.com/index.ht.../1_drag_and_drop_overview/action_scripts.html
