Having trouble tweaking color interpolation

Hello!
So I'm actually trying to add some moving lights using the surface system and am trying to use color interpolation to make those moving sprites better looking.
My default resolution is 1024*768 and when windowed, the game looks good, but when I turn full screen on, the moving sprites look kinda bad.
Any idea why? I already made it so the application surface resizes itself, and it definitely made it look better, but not perfect, so I guess I'm missing something...
Could somebody explain to me all the factors that have to be taken into account?
I know my explanation is kinda vague but it really ticks me off.
