Android Google Play Sign In gives "Failed to sign in. Please Check your network connection.."

I've implemented Google Play into my app, however it's giving me this error as a message when I try to sign in:

"Failed to sign in. Please Check your network connection and try again."

I tried deleting and remaking my google play service and repasting the codes but still no dice. It seems like it's not giving people permission?.

Anyone know what's going on?
