Good movement tutorials?

hello, i decided i wanted to focus on learning movement scripting right now, to keep it short, i want easy to follow tutorials for :

• Rpg maker type of movement and collision.
• Super Mario / Cave story type of platformer movement and collision.

i require that the tutorials be recent (not very old atleast) and are for game maker studio.

Look up shaun spalding on YouTube. He covers a lot of this easy mode weak sauce you're lookin for. Or PM him on here. He's the professional apologizer for YoYoGames now, lolol.

I (SlasherXGAMES) have done a few video tutorials on platform mechanics if you're keen to learn.
And then like RichHopelessComposer mentioned, Shaun Spalding also does some interesting work on all sorts of things.

The way that is used the repeat loop really opens my eyes about deal with collisions in another method.
