gms2 crashing when using shaders

has anyone else noticed that when using or setting up shaders you cant load game and play while coding?
must close your game even if you're running it in the background or GM crashes and deletes progress D:

This is not a typical issue when using shaders and would suggest that something is wrong with your installation. I (and may others) use shader resources all the time and this has never happened... What version of GM are you using? What platform? Do you get an error message? Have you tried re-installing?
