So I find that this happens every time I open GMS2 since the open beta began.
If an update is available, I can download that no problem, but this problem remains unsolved.
No ui.log file is present.
Obviously I don't have a project file.
Something that worked for me, both when I was using Remote Desktop and on a laptop:
Copy the following file:
C:\Program Files\GameMaker Studio 2\mesa\opengl32.dll
C:\Program Files\GameMaker Studio 2
and restart GMS2.
If that works, then GMS2 has a problem running under OpenGL hardware acceleration on your machine and it's reverted to the Mesa software OpenGL driver. Even though it's software, it should run quite nicely.
Tried disabling the antivirus, also turned off the firewall; no dice.
Tried moving over the opengl file, once leaving the original copy of the file where it was and a second time deleting it. Also no dice.
