This should be a simple one.

NOTE: I am running 2.3 Beta right now, be aware.

Using a MacBook, how can I get the fn + F1 key to open the in-editor manual?

Currently using those keys will open safari which claims the following:

Safari Can't Connect to the Server
Safari can't open the page "127.0.0.1:51290/index.htm" because Safari can't connect to the server "127.0.0.1".

Thank you!

As Nocturne says in the official topic (https://forum.yoyogames.com/index.php?threads/gms-2-3-0-beta-announcement.74346/page-24#post-453688):
It is still in development, but it is also bundled with the current beta (even in it's unfinished state) so we can catch issues before it goes stable. The IDE should open the manual from a local file in the default OS browser now, and not within the IDE as before, so if you're having issues, then yes, please file a bug report.

Ah. Yes. Thank you!

also, as of Monday, June 22, 2020, this:

https://help.yoyogames.com/hc/en-us...DE-v23-1-1-157-Runtime-v23-1-1-146-17-06-2020
  • The manual also currently does not open correctly in your browser if you are using the Mac IDE and click Help > Manual. You will need to open it manually just now.
And, April 23, 2020, I found the following:

EDIT: For those of you wanting a sneak peak of the changes and features, here's a link to download the Beta manual:

https://tech-blog-assets.yoyogames.com/YoYoStudioHelp.zip

Keep in mind, this is NOT THE FINAL DOCUMENTATION and features may still change or be added or removed. ;)

Just download the ZIP, unzip it somewhere, then run the "index.html" file. Enjoy!
So for now, I'll be using the offline docs.
