[UPDATE: We've figured this out in-house. Thanks for the interest!]

We're looking for a professional programmer with Android and Google Play Licensing experience for contract work.

YoYo has a Google Play Licensing extension in the marketplace. It caused some false positives for us, so we took it out of our live games. More importantly, it's completely external to GML -- we want to be able to control when license checks are made and get access to the licensing server's responses. The current extension simply closes the game. We don't want the extension to take any action besides checking the license and providing information about it, so that we can choose what the game should do about failed and successful license checks.

Deliverables
  • A Gamemaker Studio 2 project (or code that can be imported into such) containing scripts and/or objects that:
    • Can be used to securely retrieve any licensing information for the current app, via GML
    • Can be used to submit a licensing check, via GML
  • Full documentation for this functionality, including anything we would need to change in a project's settings to allow that functionality to work as intended.
This is a professional work-for-hire, so we'll have to put together a short contract and make sure we can pay you before anything gets started. We can either pay by hour or by milestone; either way we'll need estimates! If you have any questions you can pop them in here or send me a DM. If this is a project you are willing and able to take on, please send me a DM with a short summary of your related experience and an estimate.
