Question - IDE Games Running Slowly in Player

Has anybody else here had a problem with their games running extremely slow? I'm getting very inconsistent results with GMS2 lately, maybe it's something to do with Windows 10? I have installed/reinstalled GMS2 at least a dozen times already trying to fix these issues (in addition to crashes at startup), but they keep coming up.

Sometimes, the game will run normally, but then it randomly decides to play slowly.

System specs:
Windows 10
250GB SSD
24GB RAM
Intel i7-2600K @3.4GHz
Radeon Rx 480

It is probably the sleep margin setting that's haunting you. It has haunted a lot of people as of late. When you increase the sleep margin setting in your game to 10 or more it will most likely stop haunting you and find a new victim.
