Mac OSX Gamemaker Studio 2: Error Selecting Image For Desktop Icon

I have been prompted with this error when attempting to save a icon as my desktop icon for my game. The error is saying:

The image is expected to have an alpha channel (i.e. be 32bit)

The software i use to save files and create png files is photoshop. Could someone assist me with this?
