Game testing on mobile device

Hi, I am noob in GMS and I want to know the best way to test my game app for mobile platforms (android and ios). Is there any emulator for this purpose or may be I can do it right in GMS? Or may be there is some preview app or sandbox for android and ios? Could smbdy describe step by step what should I need to test my app right on the phone? Should I pay for developer android/ios accounts just for testing?
